REGISTRATION DEADLINE & FEES FOR SPRING SPORTS

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 1

There will be a $10 late fee after the deadline. After the deadline your child will be placed on a waiting list and is placed on a team on an as-needed basis.

TRC Coach’s Education
TRC has implemented the following Coach’s Education program for anyone who chooses to become a volunteer youth sports coach for TRC. All coaches must meet the coach’s requirements to be allowed to coach TRC youth sports.

Coach’s Requirements: *all head coaches must submit documentation that a parent/player preseason team meeting was conducted*

Sports Offered & Fee's

START SMART PROGRAM
Start Smart is a developmental youth sports program that teaches children the fundamentals of the game. 100% parent participation is required. Children practice one day a week for six weeks (one week will be for photos) . There is one game per season (a mock game) that takes place the last day of practice.

Little Hitters*
This class teaches the sport of baseball to 3 and 4 year olds. There will be a parent meeting for this class on Saturday, April 4 at 9:00am at TRC (5 week of instruction, photos on Week 3, 1 week for mock scrimmage).

Youth Tee Ball* (ages 5-12)
4 year olds are allowed to play in the Tee Ball division if parent is a coach on the team. Each player receives a an award at the end of the season, a game shirt (must be worn in league play), 6 games and 2 expo games.
Must be 5 years old by May 1 of current year.

Youth Machine Pitch*
Each player receives  an award at the end of the season, a game shirt (must be worn in league play), 8 games and 2 expo games. There is a possibility of double headers and inner league play with outside organizations.
Age cut-off: Boys - May 1 and Girls - January 1
Level Ages 7-8  Boys & Girls Division

Game Dates: June 1 - July 2

JU JITSU* (ages 5 to adult)
Turner MMA uses the sport of ju jitsu as a teaching tool for people of all ages the  value of sportsmanship, self-defense, self-discipline and how to motivate oneself in living a healthy lifestyle.
~JuJitsu classes begin the first week of the month and are ongoing. Sessions consist of 4 or 5 weeks, depending on the month. Session fees are due by the last Wednesday of the month prior to the class starting. *No credits, refunds, or pro-rate fees .

Fee: Ages 5-15: $30/month ; 2nd sibling $20/month
        Ages 16 & older: $60; $50 for the 2nd sibling
Late Fee: $10 plus Fee
Days/Times: Ages 5-15: Monday & Wednesday 6:00PM-7:00PM
             Ages 16 & older: Monday & Wednesday 6:00PM-7:30PM
Location: Turner Middle School Auxiliary Gym (1312 South 55th Street) -- No classes anytime school is closed
Grappling Tournament: Established by class instructor (Steve Crawford) and TRC

ARCHERY (ages 7 to adult)
Archery uses "live" weaponry, and can be considered a dangerous sport if approached carelessly or without due regard for safety. Our Archery Instructors have gone through extensive training in safety, inspection, rules and regulations for participating in archery for the Turner Recreation Commission. Classes begin the first week of the month and are on-going.
